Grooming Guidelines
Following are some tips for picking a good groomer!

Look for experience.  Groomers who've worked many years with animals are better able to
handle special or difficult dogs!
Get a recommendation from you vet, family, friends, or neighbors.
Start early.  Dogs need their first professional grooming after the last puppy shots so they
become accustomed to it.
Select a shop that is very clean and offers appointments, and pick up the dog as soon as he's
ready.  Don't leave him sit in a create all day!
Check credentials.  Is the groomer a graduate of a training program, school or apprenticeship?
Do they hold a membership in a trade organisation?  Although groomers aren't required yet to be
licensed, involvement with a trade group, such as the

National Dog Groomers Association of America, indicates professionalism.

Watch the groomers work.  If a groomer won't allow it, go elsewhere!!
Check if the groomer has insurance, if he/she dosn't have one, leave!!
Alert the Groomer to health or behavior issues, that could affect the grooming experience.

Don't shop for price, shop for experience and high quality service!!!!!
